In reply to your letter of 11th instant requesting me to communicate to you my views on the probable good or evil effects of an Ordinance you propose to prepare for the introduction of Prostitution in this Colony
I beg leave to inform you that after the lamentable and serious effects I have seen produced by syphilis contracted by the ship's Company of the Spartan
